October 2015 Events

Tuesday, October 13 @ The Ale House (Troy)
Hosted by Abby Lublin
7:30 – 9:30 pm
680 River Street
Theme: “Dating”

Sure, these cold nights and mornings signal a seasonal change.  Peak foliage colors also signal peak changes in desire.  Anyone attuned to the mating rituals of animals knows that shorter days mean snuggling for warmth.  (See popular term here.)

This Tuesday, share your story of mating practices.  Perhaps you have a doozy of a tale involving a first encounter? A string of bad luck?  Or maybe you want to avoid the subject altogether and tell a story that dates you.

We can’t guarantee a mate, but Front Parlor is always a good time.  See you this Tuesday at the Ale House.

Monday, October 19 The Olde English Pub (Albany)
Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk
7:30 – 9:30 pm
25 Quackenbush Square
Theme: “Grass is Always Greener”

Comparing ourselves to others is generally not a sure fire way to feel good about our lives. Someone else always has it better.

Ignoring such comparisons is advised, but that’s easier said than done. Sometimes that sense of things being better will take root and cause you to act. Which could, potentially, lead to a story…

If so, please bring that story to the Olde English on 10/19. Sign up is at 7:30.

Share widely.

If you’d like to throw your name in the can to tell a story, and you know you’ll be a lil’ late, post a comment here.

See you ’round the mic. And as always…

Listening is an act of love.
