Tuesday, October 11 @ The Hangar on the Hudson (Troy – across the street from, and operated by, the Ale House)
Hosted by Zan Strumfeld
7:30 – 9:30 pm
675 River Street
Theme: “Sloppy Mornings”
It’s 2 a.m. and you have no idea how you wound up in that bonfire party three miles into the woods. It’s 6 a.m. and you’re watching the most beautiful sunrise with that stranger you met only hours before. It’s 10 a.m. and you’ve slept through your alarm for that presentation you’re to give at 10:30 a.m. We’ve all had them; whether good or bad, there’s a beautiful, scary, heartbreaking, hilarious tale that happened somewhere in the hours of, let’s say, midnight and…11:59 a.m.
Come share it Tuesday, October 11 at the Hanger. Zan hosts!
Monday, October 17 @ The Olde English Pub (Albany)
Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk
7:30 – 9:30 pm
25 Quackenbush Square
Theme: “Scary Stories”
Given that October is national ghost and goblin awareness month we’re hosting a special evening of scary stories at the Albany Front Parlor. Feel free to embellish those tales of dark and stormy nights, as the normal rule of “true as you remember it” runs screaming from the building.
Monday, October 17, 7:30 at the Olde English Pub.
Tuesday, October 18 @ Taphouse at Catamount Glass (Bennington, VT)
Hosted by Forest Byrd
Seating starts at 7 pm, Stories at 7:30 pm
309 County St., Bennington, VT 05201
Theme: “Vital Signs”
Some signs are so important that following them is a matter of life and death; they can tell us whether we are dead or alive. Come tell us your story about a sign that couldn’t be ignored or maybe was until now.
Five minutes, no notes, no props, true from you. Mature themes but all are welcome.
Share widely.
If you’d like to throw your name in the can to tell a story, and you know you’ll be a little late, post a comment here.
See you ’round the mic. And as always…
Listening is an act of love.
